EconAI provides an AI-powered essay marking service specifically designed for Edexcel A-Level Economics students. Our service includes:

• Automated essay marking based on Edexcel mark schemes
• Assessment Objective (AO) breakdowns
• Interactive sentence-level feedback
• Grade predictions and improvement suggestions
• Progress tracking and analytics (Pro feature)

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Providing accurate and current information

You must be at least 13 years old to use EconAI. Users under 16 should have parental consent.

4. Subscription and Payment

Free Plan: Includes 3 essays per month with basic features.

Pro Plans: Monthly (£5.99/month), Year 13 (£15.99 one-time through June 2026), and Year 12 (£49.99 one-time through June 2027) plans with unlimited essays and advanced features.

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial months
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Submit content that violates any laws or regulations
• Share your account with others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy our AI marking system
• Use automated tools to submit essays (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Submit essays that contain hate speech, harassment, or inappropriate content
• Abuse or overload our systems
• Resell or redistribute our service

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the essays you submit. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process and store your essays for the purpose of providing feedback.

Our Content: EconAI's software, algorithms, feedback templates, and branding are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials.

7. AI Accuracy and Limitations

While our AI marking is highly accurate and based on official Edexcel mark schemes:

• AI feedback is a learning tool, not a guarantee of exam results
• Always verify feedback with your teacher or examiner
• We do not guarantee specific grades or exam outcomes
• Our service is supplementary to, not a replacement for, formal education

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of EconAI is subject to our Privacy Policy. We take data protection seriously and comply with GDPR requirements. Your essays are encrypted and stored securely.

9. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to:

• Perform scheduled maintenance
• Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
• Suspend accounts that violate these terms

10. Limitation of Liability

EconAI is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

• Exam results or academic performance
• Loss of data due to technical issues
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the past 12 months.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time through the billing page. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
